Ensuring Maximum Confidentiality and Privacy

At Burnie City Life Centre we respect everyones right to privacy and its protection. We believe the issue of privacy and security of information forms the core of our relationship with our members and the public. Our objective is to ensure that maximum confidentiality and privacy is maintained at all times and to the greatest degree possible. Following is an overview of our Privacy Policy and how information about individuals and organisations is collected, managed and protected.

  • We will never give or sell personal or confidential information about individuals or organisation to any third party except as required by law, or necessary to provide the services requested by said persons or organisations, or as requested and authorised by said persons or organisations to do so.
  • We undertake to protect personal information from disclosure or theft.
  • We will provide the means for individuals and organisations to maintain control over their personal information and its removal from our records.

If anyone ever feels that the Burnie City Life Centre is not adhering to a strict Privacy Policy or is in some way compromising the integrity or security of personally identifiable information, they will be directed to mail their concerns to the:

How We Collect and Use Information

To assist with the timely delivery of and access to information for all individuals and organisations, the provision of opportunities to partner with other members of the Burnie City Life Centre, to allow the Leadership Team to best understand and meet Individuals' needs and provide the highest possible level of support, it is acknowledged that we need information. When individuals or organisations become a "Partner" of or "Supplier" to the Burnie City Life Centre, we collect and store information including their name, address, phone numbers, email address and other relevant information to enable our relationship. We undertake to use the information collected only for the purposes for which said individuals and organisations approve. This information will be treated as strictly confidential and be shared only among those people who require access to it in order to meet both the needs of said individuals and organisations and the obligations of the Church.

Security

We undertake to, by all appropriate means, see that personal information is protected from loss, misuse, alteration or theft while under our control.

Correcting, Updating or Deleting Personal Information.

From time to time, it may become necessary for individuals to alter their personally identifiable information held by the Burnie City Life Centre. We have established a simple way for individuals and organisations to correct, update or remove personal data. This can be accomplished by completing a "Personal Information" form and providing it to the Burnie City Life Centre Privacy Officer or a member of the Leadership Team.
